Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Amravati successfully organized “HackGen X 2026,” a National Level Hackathon, bringing together young innovators, programmers, and technology enthusiasts from across the country. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by several distinguished dignitaries who encouraged participants to utilize technology for solving real-world problems. The chief guests included Ms. Saumya Sharma (Chandak), I.A.S., Municipal Commissioner and Administrator of Amravati Municipal Corporation, Ms. Neha Dutta, Deputy Vice President – Marketing, HDFC ERGO General Insurance, Delhi, Mr. Ankur Agarwal, Service Operation Lead, London, Mr. Harish Adatiya, CEO of PugArch Technology, Nagpur, and Ms. Shivangi Gokhale, Program Manager, InFED, IIM Nagpur.
The dignitaries emphasized the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement in addressing societal challenges. The hackathon began with great enthusiasm, marking the start of 24 hours of continuous coding, innovation, and collaborative problem-solving by the participating teams.
The event was organized under the guidance and leadership of Shri Jagdishji Gupta, President of Sipna Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Dr. S. M. Kherde, Principal of Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Dr. V. K. Shandilya, Head of the Department, and Prof. N. D. Shelokar, Event Coordinator, along with the dedicated efforts of faculty members and student volunteers.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Ms. Sanjita Mohapatra, I.A.S., Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Amravati, Mr. Hitesh Mittal, Director of Hitesh Enviro Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Noida, Mr. Abhijit Sharma, CEO and Startup Consultant, Udyamitra Foundation, Raipur, and Mr. Amit Dengare, System Administrator, Amravati Municipal Corporation.
A total of 465 teams registered for the hackathon, out of which 75 teams were shortlisted to participate in the final round. After an intense evaluation process, the following teams were declared winners:
- First Prize: Commit Issues – Terna Engineering College – Mumbai University
- Second Prize: Hackmatez – Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Amravati
- Third Prize: OMNI TITAN X – P. R. Pote Patil College of Engineering & Management, Amravati
Additionally, Trash Tech Titans from Prof. Ram Meghe College of Engineering & Management secured the First Consolation Prize, while PowerIQ from G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Amravati received the Second Consolation Prize.
HackGen X 2026 proved to be a remarkable event that fostered innovation, teamwork, and technological excellence, providing a valuable opportunity for young minds to develop solutions for real-world challenges.
