About Department
Established in the year 2008, Department of Business Administration in just a short span had made a mark for itself as a quality teaching – learning centre amongst the academic circle.
The department emphasizes on developing the individual and leadership skills of the students. The ultimate goal is to shape the leaders who can take up challenges with a unique blend of innovation and confidence while dealing with the competitive business environment. Department is an institution of excellence in management education that develops talented and proficient leaders with competence in entrepreneurship skills, moral values and social responsibilities. The multi-fold style of teaching includes theoretical, practical and extra-curricular activities which provides best learning ambiance.
Department is approved by AICTE, New Delhi & Government of Maharashtra with an affiliation to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. It is one of the few ISO recognized institutions with an IAO accreditation. These leaders of tomorrow are given opportunities of exposure in respective field of their specialization in national companies to add their skilled value to meet the challenges of expanding economy. The business administration department continuously focuses on involving students in various extra curricular activities to explore their hidden potentials. Activities like wall magazine, alumni talks, student development cells, industrial visits help them to develop their leadership and entrepreneurship skills. Department always strives hard to provide quality internship programs and placements for the career development along with the emphasis on Information and Communication Technology(ICT). The department focuses on research and development activities thus imparting quality education in general management with four specialization streams i.e. Finance Management (FM), Marketing Management (MM), Human Resource Management (HRM) and Production & Operation Management (POM). It has an intake of 60 students per year which enables us to impart focused and quality education.

Program Outcomes (PO)
PO 1 Managerial knowledge:. Apply the knowledge of commerce, science, arts fundamentals, and management specialization to the solution of complex managerial problems.
PO 2 Problem analysis:. Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex managerial problems reaching substantiated conclusions using the principles of management and natural sciences.
PO 3 Design/development of solutions:. Design solutions for complex managerial problems and processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental issues.
PO 4 Conduct investigations of complex problems:. Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate methods, resources, modern techniques and IT tools to complex managerial procedure & problems with an understanding of the limitations.
PO 6 The manager and society:. Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional management practice.
PO 7 Environment and sustainability:. Understand the impact of the professional management solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO 8 Ethics:. Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the management practice.
PO 9 Individual and team work:. Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO 10 Communication:. Communicate effectively on complex management activities with the management community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO 11 Project management and finance:. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the management principles and apply this to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
PO 12. Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSO):
At the end of the program, the students
PSO1. Should be able to clearly understand the concepts and applications of management in the various field of multidisciplinary knowledge comprising of accounting, finance, operations, management information system, marketing and human resources management.
PSO2. Should be able to associate the learning from various courses related to marketing, human resources and finance to demonstrate an ability to apply learned managerial skills to business and social needs.
PSO3. Should have the capability to employ appropriate decision models to appropriate projects for a business management issues in an enterprise and manage the firm growth through strategies such as mergers, acquisitions, international expansion and new venture development.
PSO4. Should become the employable management professionals who can take appropriate decisions for a firms growth through applying various management strategies and have the capabilities to start their own business enterprise.
