GANESHOTSAV 2026

Eco-Friendly Celebration Activities

Ganeshotsav 2026 was celebrated at Sipna College of Engineering and Technology, Amravati, with great devotion, enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability. The celebration provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their artistic skills, teamwork, cultural talent, and commitment towards responsible celebrations.

As a major attraction, students created an impressive “Shrinathji” themed decoration, inspired by the renowned Nathdwara Temple of Rajasthan. The decoration featured a beautiful representation of Shrinathji along with an artistic replica of the temple. It was prepared over approximately one month using eco-friendly, reusable, and locally available materials, including cardboard, paper, bamboo, and other waste materials. The initiative showcased the students’ creativity, dedication, teamwork, and effective utilization of sustainable resources. The decoration was led by Ms. Shreya Thakare and Ms. Manasi Deshmukh, under the guidance of Mr. Krishna Bodkhe, with support from Ms. Poonam Tiwane, Mr. Krishna Gase, Ms. Nidhi Kanase, Ms. Shravani Gawande, Mr. Prathamesh Pandit, Ms. Shruti Deulkar, Mr. Devanshu Ghawat, and other student volunteers.

To promote cultural participation, a Bhaktigeet Competition was organized, in which students participated enthusiastically and created a devotional atmosphere on the campus. Mahaprasad was also arranged for students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff, fostering a spirit of unity, togetherness, and community participation.

An important highlight of the celebration was the eco-friendly Ganesh Visarjan conducted on 19 September 2026. The natural clay Ganesh idol was immersed within the college premises in a dedicated drum/container, thereby supporting an environmentally responsible method of immersion and reducing the potential impact on natural water bodies. As a further sustainability initiative, the same container is planned to be reused for plantation activities, giving the celebration an environmentally meaningful conclusion.

The Ganeshotsav activities were coordinated by the student committee comprising President Atharva Karde, Vice President Tanvi Deshmukh, Secretary Yagnesh Gopal, Joint Secretary Rishikesh Kasurkar, Treasurer Himanshu Mankar, and Members Radha Khandekar and Ashutosh Shegokar.

The successful organization of Ganeshotsav 2026 was supported by the valuable guidance of Hon. Jagdish Bhau Gupta, Principal Dr. S. M. Kherde, Dr. Amit Shah, Dr. Snehal Wasankar, and Dean of Student Activities Dr. P. R. Malasane.

Overall, Ganeshotsav 2026 successfully brought together devotion, cultural values, creativity, teamwork, student participation, and environmental responsibility. The celebration conveyed the meaningful message of “Celebration with Responsibility” and demonstrated the college community’s commitment to promoting sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
