Induction program is an initiative to make the students comfortable, especially newly admitted students, in the new environment and to inculcate in them the ethos & culture of the institute. The aim of program is to ensure that every student feels welcomed engage & excited at the new beginning of their career.
The induction program for B.Tech. First Year students of 2024-25 admitted batch was organised on 13th &14th September 2024.
Program was inaugurated on 13th September at 11:00 am in college auditorium. Renown educationist Dr. Anant B. Marathe sir, was the Chief Guest of program. Hon Shri Ajayji Shroff, Vice President of SSPM, presided over the inaugural function in gracious presence of Principal Dr S.M. Kherde. Degree Program Coordinator Dr V.T. Gaikwad & HoD of Science & Humanities Dr N.V. Shirbhate were also present on dais.
In the welcome speech, Dr V.T. Gaikwad mentioned the aim & objective of the program and also brief about the two days schedule of program.
In the introductory remark Principal Dr S.M. Kherde sir, welcomed the students, their parents and shared the institute information along with the vision & mission of the institute. He assured the students about the conducive environment & quality education in the institute. He appealed the students for the use of all facilities & for participation in different activities.
In his inaugural address, Dr A.B. Marathe sir guided the students regarding various aspects of the professional education. He appealed the students to stretch & use their capabilities to gain the knowledge to achieve the goal. He also focused on the need of values & ethics in the education.
Hon Shri Ajayji Shroff guided and motivated the students to inculcate various skills for their all-round development. Sir has appealed the students for hard work & dedication while perusing their degrees.
After the inaugural program various sessions were conducted two days.
On Day 1, Dr G.P. Dhok, Dean Academics, briefed the students about the B.Tech. program with Autonomous status & Credit System of the course. Dr N.V. Shirbhate, HoD of Science & Humanities department, have given the detail information about the Scheme & Syllabus of First Year B.Tech. He also given the information about the department.
In second phase of the program, visit of students was organised to various departments & to central facilities.
On Day 2, again Dr G.P. Dhok has delivered a session about Cocurricular Activities & its Credits in F.Y. Scheme as per the NEP guidelines. Dr A.D. Gawande, Controller of Examination, shared the information about the assessment process & the examination pattern of the autonomous course along with other relevant information.
In his session Dr P.R. Malasane, Dean Students Affair has shared the information regarding various extra-curricular activities in the institute. He also given the information about different student’s club & appeal the students to participate in the activities of these clubs.
In the session Prof G.D. Govindwar given the details about various skill based training programs, internship opportunities for the students. He also shared various campus placement & career opportunities arrange by III & CR cell. The program was concluded with the announcement of further academic schedule & with vote of thanks.
