About the Institute
Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, established in July 1999, located in Amravati is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati(M.S). Sipna COET, an autonomous, unaided engineering institution is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A+’ grade.There are six UG(B.Tech) programs and all eligible five programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The institute is ISO 9001:2015 certified for its robust Quality Management System. Under the AICTE Margadarshan Scheme, Sipna COET is recognized as a Mentee Institute by COEP Technological University, Pune. Additionally, the college is included under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act,1956. Strengthening its commitment to emerging technologies, Sipna COET proudly hosts Vidarbha’s first DGCAauthorised Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO), providing specialized training in drone technology and contributing to skill development in the rapidly growing aviation sector.
About the Department
Established in 1999, the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering offers a B.Tech. program with an intake of 120 students and an M.Tech program (E&TC) with 18 seats. The program is accredited by the NBA for four consecutive terms, reflecting sustained academic quality and excellence. The department is supported by 31 faculty members, including 23 Ph.D. holders. The department is equipped with 16 state-of-the-art laboratories & Ph.D. research Labs approved by SGB Amravati University, Amravati. The department has developed robust infrastructure through initiatives such as the AICTE-funded Microprocessor, Microcontroller, and Embedded Systems laboratory under the MODROB Scheme, along with a Centre of Excellence established in collaboration with PugArch Technologies.
About ATAL Academy
The AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy, launched by the Government of India in 2018 and expanded nation wide in 2019, aims to strengthen technical education by promoting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, while empowering faculty and technicians through ICT enabled training programs.
Objective of FDP
- To develop advanced competency in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL) for solving complex biomedical engineering and healthcare problems, aligned with national digital health initiatives and NEP-2020 guidelines, thereby strengthening technical expertise and analytical capabilities.
- To build in-depth understanding of intelligent medical data analytics and imaging techniques for enabling early diagnosis, precision healthcare, and efficient clinical decision support systems addressing real world healthcare challenges.
- To provide comprehensive exposure to emerging healthcare technologies, including IoT-enabled systems, wearable devices, smart sensors, and edge/cloud-based medical platforms with strong industry relevance and practical applicability.
- To promote multidisciplinary research, innovation, and curriculum enhancement by enabling the design and implementation of AI-driven healthcare solutions with significant societal impact and translational potential in biomedical engineering domains.
FDP Outcomes
- Application of AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning techniques for biomedical data analysis to address complex healthcare challenges, ensuring practical relevance, improved decision-making, and societal impact.
- Design and evaluation of intelligent computational models for medical imaging, disease prediction, and advanced clinical decision support systems using modern tools and methodologies.
- Integration of emerging technologies such as IoT, wearable devices, and smart diagnostic systems to develop scalable, efficient, and real-time intelligent healthcare solutions aligned with industry practices.
- Development of research-oriented approaches, including formulation of innovative proposals, interdisciplinary solutions, and contributions to AI driven biomedical engineering advancements in alignment with NEP-2020 and national healthcare priorities.

The FDP sessions will be conducted by renowned experts from premier institutions and organizations, including DRDO project specialists, former scientists from the National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), faculty from IIITs and NITs, eminent medical practitioners, and leading industry professionals, ensuring a rich blend of academic, research, and clinical expertise.
