Internal Institute Level Hackathon SIH2024
Smart India Hackathon-2024 is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving.
All the students are hereby informed that the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in coordination with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2024).
For Formation of teams, the following rules should be followed
- All team members should be from same college; no inter-college teams are allowed. However, members from different branches of the same college/ institute are encouraged to form a team.
- Each team would mandatorily comprise of 6 members including the team leader.
- Each team must have AT LEAST ONE FEMALE TEAM MEMBER.
- As the software edition of the hackathon is digital product development competition, majority of the team members MUST be well versed with programming skills.
- For the hardware edition, we encourage multi-disciplinary teams which means your team should have a good mix of Mechanical Engineers, Electronic Engineers, Product Designers and Programmers, etc.
6. Students have to prepare their team under the guidance of One Mentor (Faculty Member) for SIH-2024 and submit their proposal on or before 28/08/2024.
7. After getting the proposals from all team members we would have to organize Internal Hackathon-2024 on the college level, on which we will finalize the total best 30 teams+5 waitlisted teams from the internal hackathon-2024.
8. After finalizing best 25 teams +5 waitlisted teams SPOC will have to do the registration of selected teams for the SIH-2024 Software/Hardware edition at the SIH portal.
